Description of action: I´m wearing a very short dress with a large cutout. I take a red coloured balloon lying in front of me and which is filled with rhinestones and blow it up. I put cream all over my face and my bosom. I poke the balloon with a pin over my head and the rhinestones are covering my bosom and my face. I put on an enormous necklace and fix my dress with a hair tie above my waist. I take an egg lying in front of me and start to pull the egg with my cheek across the room to where a crystal is standing. As i arrive, i crack the egg on the crystal. I drink the egg.
Background: I tried to work with the trashy constitution of the room in the 'Parkhotel'. I liked the contrast between the severe front and the corny décor. This kind of architecture provokes in me the feeling of tackiness and flunkyism. For me, it is a symbol of power for one part and weakness for an other part. Of course, this kind of socialist buildings always remind me of the political system that my family escaped from in the 90s.
